MURRAY — A Murray man accused of having thousands of images of child pornography on his laptop now faces federal charges.
On Wednesday, Bryan C Patrick Andrews, 28, was charged in federal court with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
In September, during a three-hour window, an undercover agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation was able to download 79 files containing pictures and videos of children being sexually exploited from an IP address that was offering the images, according to charging documents.
That IP address was traced back to Andrews, the charges state. Agents served a warrant on Andrews' home on Tuesday. They found on his desktop computer "several thousand images of child pornography," the charges state.
An arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday.
