SALT LAKE CITY — One man is dead and two police officers were injured after a Thursday afternoon shooting at a Maverik station, according to Salt Lake City police.
The incident took place around 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Maverik at 300 S. 508 East. The two police officers involved were transported to a hospital in serious, but stable condition, according to Salt Lake City police Det. Robert Ungricht.

Ungricht said he did not know if the man who died had a weapon.
