LAYTON — Police are interviewing a 19-year-old person of interest after a shooting in Layton that sent one victim to the hospital, according to the Layton Police Department.

Police responded to the scene near 1650 N. 1425 West, but no officers were involved in the shooting.

The 52-year-old victim was taken to McKay Dee Hospital in stable condition with a leg wound, police said.

Details surrounding the shooting are still unknown.
