(KSL News) A woman who stole jewelry by swallowing it has to pay a fine. This morning, a judge ordered Norma Porchas to pay more than $500 in fines and fees.
She's also on probation for a year and has to serve 50 hours of community service. Porchas pleaded guilty to retail theft.

In May, she swallowed two gold bracelets at the Hy and Mike's Pawn Shop off 500 South on Redwood Road. The jewelry was worth $2,000.
Porchas had been a regular customer at the business.
