BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana University has apologized to defensive back Bryant Fitzgerald for a mistake that will cost the freshman his first year of eligibility. Athletic director Fred Glass says the school's compliance office failed to properly advise Fitzgerald of his eligibility requirements. Indiana appealed to the NCAA on Aug. 3. It was denied Friday.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — After dominating the Big Ten for three straight years, the Maryland women's basketball team is ready to take on the world. Maryland was selected by the United States International University Sports Federation to represent the US in Taiwan at the World University Games.
