LOGAN — A man died Saturday after failing to make a turn on an ATV and driving over a 15-foot drop-off.

The 33-year-old man was riding the four-wheeler in the Franklin Basin area of Logan Canyon — about four miles off U.S. 89 — just after noon when the accident occurred, the Cache County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators say the man failed to make a bend on the road and fell over the 15-foot drop-off.

The victim was found unconscious and not breathing, the sheriff's office reported.

Bystanders performed CPR while medical crews and a helicopter were en-route. Medical crews continued lifesaving efforts when they arrived, but the man died while at the scene, the sheriff's office said.

The man's name was not released Saturday due to an ongoing investigation, the sheriff's office said.
