SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A woman is dead after an apartment complex fire that also injured two other people who jumped to escape the blaze.

Firefighters say the woman in her mid-60s couldn't escape the fire that broke out Sunday afternoon and heavily damaged six condominiums.

West Jordan Fire Battalion Chief Bryan Crump says a man and a woman were hurt when they jumped out of a second-story window. They were hospitalized, though their injuries were considered life-threatening.

The woman's name wasn't immediately released. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
