Police ask for help identifying suspects in SLC slaying

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police released a surveillance video and are asking for the public's help in identifying two people who may have been involved in a July 26 homicide that took place near Pioneer Park.

The first person in the video is described as a white or Hispanic adult male wearing a dark-colored baseball hat with a white logo, a dark-colored hoodie with an unknown logo on the front, dark-colored shorts, short white socks and low top black and white shoes.

The second person is described as an African-American male wearing a dark hat, white t-shirt, dark-colored jacket with hood, dark-colored pants and bright white sneakers.

On July 26, Shawn Manymules, 26, was shot and killed around 1:30 a.m. on the west side of Pioneer Park.

Salt Lake City police are asking anyone who might know the location of the two persons of interest to call the department at 801-799-3000.

Anonymous tips can be sent by text to 274637. Start the text with “TIPSLCPD,” which routes the text to the police department, and then include relevant information.
