SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A man accused in the shooting death of his wife entered his plea today.
Stephen J. Walker pleaded Not Guilty in his arraignment hearing. He's charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife Cassandra Bryan.
Back in April, court documents say Walker called a friend and told him he was going to commit suicide. However, he apparently later called back to say he was OK and had taken care of the problem.
Court records say when officers arrived, they found Walker sitting in the living room and Bryan lying on the kitchen floor shot to death.
His scheduling conference is set for October 30th at nine a-m.
