KNOLLS, Tooele County — Eastbound I-80 was temporarily closed Thursday morning after a rollover accident injured three people, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:10 a.m. about 11 miles west of Knolls, Tooele County, according to Utah Highway Patrol public information officer Marissa Cote. One vehicle rolled on the freeway injuring a 36-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl and a woman in her late 20s or early 30s. The 14-year-old was ejected from the vehicle, but none of the injuries were life-threatening, Cote said.
An eyewitness told KSL Newsradio that the vehicle rolled into the median.
Two medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene and two of the victims were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Eastbound I-80 was temporarily closed while the helicopters landed, Utah Highway Patrol said.
Details about what caused the accident were not immediately released.
