RIVERTON, Utah (AP) -- For the second time in recent months, a Riverton employee has been arrested.

This time, 49-year-old Thomas Brent Varney was taken into custody in connection with soliciting a 13-year-old girl for sex. Authorities say he was arrested on Monday after he arranged to meet the girl he had been chatting with online. Instead, an undercover agent posing as the teenage girl showed up.

He's expected to be charged today with urging a child to meet him for sex. City officials have also suspended the public works inspector without pay. Varney has worked for the city for 13 years.
