(KSL News) Two men now face state and federal charges in connection with the near-fatal beating of a Salt Lake City man earlier this month.
Luis Ceron and Joel Pacheco-Ortega were formally charged with attempted murder and aggravated kidnapping in third district court yesterday. In addition, the two men face drug and weapons charges in federal court.
Police claim the two men severely beat the victim because he had stolen computers from them. Police also believe had they not arrived on the scene when they did, the man would have been killed.
Two 17-year-old boys were also arrested in connection with the beating.
