RIDING A SEGWAY IN SOUTHERN UTAH — It’s the offseason for the Utah Jazz, and while the players and coaches are taking a brief siesta, vice president of player personnel Walt Perrin and his staff are carefully evaluating players for the upcoming NBA draft.
Oh, but Boris Diaw is riding a Segway near Canyonlands National Park, and rookie forward Joel Bolomboy is trying to get the smell of popcorn out of his car seats.
That, and more in our Great Clips of the Week.
Diaw’s Segway is the best video you need to see on the internet
It’s a tale as old as time, or boy-meets-girl, or even boy-meets-world: an NBA player on a hike across the deserts of Nevada and southern Utah takes his two huskies to experience the great outdoors in the offseason.
But sometimes, those dogs need more work than the player.
Such was the case with Diaw, who captured some amazing footage of himself walking his dogs on a Segway from what appears to be an aerial drone or otherwise high-flying camera.
Diaw has also been snapping pics of his travels, including gorgeous night sky vistas away from civilization, and you should follow him on Instagram, if you are inclined for such things.
Jazz fans only have one plea: don’t get hurt, Boris.
Joel Bolomboy gets rookie punked
Remember the time-honored Jazz tradition of rookies having their cars stuffed with popcorn? If you don’t, here’s video of then-rookie Rudy Gobert getting the treatment back in 2014.
The tradition lived on this month, with former Weber State star Joel Bolomboy getting punked.
Let that be a lesson to children and aspiring NBA players: Don’t ever forget to bring the doughnuts.
Did Sidney Crosby mock P.K. Subban’s breath?
Heading into Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals, the Penguins hold a 2-1 lead over Nashville.
But is part of that lead related to some psychological warfare by Pens star Sidney Crosby?
“He told me my breath smelled, but I mean, I don’t know; I used Listerine before the game,” Subban told NBC Sports. “So I don’t know what he’s talking about.”

Crosby, for his part, denied any part of the altercation.
“He made that up,” he said. “I didn’t say that.”
Crosby added "he's a guy that likes the attention. If he wants to make stuff up, what can I do."

Game 4 is scheduled for Monday night at 6 p.m. MDT, if you want to see the beef between these two players marinate.
Zac Blair wears shoes from eBay
A lot of golfers save money any way they can — and that list now includes professional golfers.
Former BYU golfer Zac Blair wore a pair of vintage leather FootJoys during the third round of the Memorial at Muirfield Village on Saturday afternoon. Blair thanked the “random guy” for selling the loafers, then had a laugh after commentators cracked jokes over it.

Editor's note: An early version of this story revealed that Boris Diaw's escapades occurred in Canyonlands National Park, a report that has been proven false with additional information. The story has been corrected to state that Diaw's adventure occured "near" Canyonlands, as verified. Consult local park rangers and officers before attempting any similar activities within a United States national park.
