Still another big wildfire is burning dangerously close to a Utah town tonight.
Flames are scorching the hills above Perry. But some homes being evacuated are in Brigham City.
The homes evacuated are on the mountainside along Tanavista Drive. It is a small neighborhood consisting of 4 homes, with one under construction.
Fire officials say that the fire is 65 percent contained.
The fire started around 5pm when lightning hit the mountain near the border of Brigham City and Perry. The fire stayed small for a time, but then the wind caught it. So far over 250 acres have burned.
Hwy 89 is closed from 11th S. Main St. to 20th South, near where Sardine Canyon begins. At the time of this report, the road was expected to stay closed for at least a few more hours.
