Most NBA players get to enjoy nice, long summer vacations. For some Jazz players, their off-seasons weren't so spectacular. Paul Millsap told us he worked hard get his hand healthy after finger surgery. Paul said, "this is a big year for me and my family and I wanted to be in the best shape I could." Millsap can become a free agent next summer. Millsap, in his third season, was a steal in the 2006 draft.
Both C.J. Miles and Morris Almond worked out most of the off-season and said they had no special vacations to talk about.
Jaron Collins was busy. He and his pregnant wife went to Spain earlier this summer. Then just 10 days ago they welcomed their first child, daughter Alesandra Paulina (Hopefully I spelled that correctly). Collins was all smiles when he told us the happy news.
Kyle Korver tried to visit as many friends as he could. He did several charity events, and even spruced up his Utah condo. He said he's glad to be with the Jazz from the beginning of the season and feels right at home.
Andrei Kirilenko may have had the most exciting summer travels. Besides the Olympics in Beijing and playing for the Russian National team in Italy and Spain, he also visited France and England. But best of all was his vacation in the south of France with his two children. He said he loved being with them since the season keeps them apart too often.
