(KSL News) A former Copper Hills High School teacher went court this morning, accused of having sex with one of her students.
Melinda Lee Deluca was supposed to have a plea hearing this morning, but after arriving at the courthouse, the hearing was postponed until October.
Melinda Deluca allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old male student-- once in the parking lot at school and once at her home.
The victim confirmed the accusations to investigators.
Four witnesses told investigators they saw the teacher and student in a car, kissing at a park near the school.
Deluca was fired from Copper Hills High School in December, where she taught American Sign Language. The victim was one of her sign language students.
