Sandra Yi Reporting New details about the Woods Cross man rescued in the Storm Mountain area of Big Cottonwood Canyon, yesterday. You may recall, Steve Marsden told crews, he had been trapped between a tree and rock for several days.

It didn't take long for crews to rescue Steve Marsden yesterday. He told them he had been pinned by a rock for several days, but his story has many, including authorities, scratching their heads.

Ronny Marsden, Brother: "I've seen that there's a lot of pieces missing and they needed to be cleared up."

Ronny Marsden is coming to his brother's defense.

Ronny Marsden: "No, he would never do that for attention. Nuh- uh."

Ronny says his brother battles with bouts of amnesia, stemming from a car accident 25 years ago.

Ronny Marsden: "I'm sure he was up there for five days, but pinned to that rock? No."

Authorities aren't sure how long Steve was trapped, but say his injuries aren't consistent with his story. They know he called his wife twice yesterday morning from a cell phone found in his truck.

A family member, who didn't want to be identified, said Steve has never been diagnosed with amnesia. He says Steve was having family problems and went up to the Canyon for attention. He claims Steve has done it several times before and wants him held accountable.

That family member hopes authorities will file charges against Steve Marsden. The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office says it is a crime to make a false police report, but at this point, can't verify if that's what happened.
