The Jazz got the new season started at noon today when the team met the media at the Zion's Bank Basketball Center. At the same time, we're making our way to Boise to cover training camp at Boise State's Taco Bell Arena. There are several interesting story lines to follow, and we'll have them for you over the next few days.

The good news for the Jazz is that the entire starting roster returns. The uncertainty is whether this will be the last year we'll see the main players together. Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur and Kyle Korver can leave after this season so we'll see how it all plays out. The Jazz will have 18 players on the roster in Boise. Gone from a year ago is point guard Jason Hart who was traded back to the Clippers in exchange for another point, Brevin Knight. One other new face is Kosta Koufos, Utah' first round draft pick this year, who can play either power forward or center. Koufos is 7 feet 1 inch tall and can shoot like Memo, but he's not that big inside defensive presence they Jazz have been looking for.

It should be fun to see former Ute Britton Johnsen trying to make the roster. Johnsen joins fellow forward Kevin Lyde and guard Gerry McNamara, all three trying to crack the roster, but all are long shots. I remember covering that BYU-Syracuse game back in 2004 when McNamara went off for 43 points and beat the Cougars by five in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He couldn't miss! We'll see if he still has the touch.

Plenty to talk about in the coming days. Talk to you from Boise!
