(KSL News) -- The West Mountain wildfire near Utah Lake is fully contained, even after firefighters had to battle the wind as well as the flames.
Firefighters gained control last night around ten o'clock. It burned 500 acres and was likely human caused.
Firefighting efforts from the air and ground stopped the fire from spreading further, saving homes near Genola that were in danger for a time.
