ENTERPRISE — A 9-year-old boy collided with a car and was critically injured while riding an off-road motorcycle in Enterprise Monday, authorities said.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an accident at 670 East Main Street at around 12:30 p.m. where the boy was involved in a collision with another vehicle while riding his off-road motorcycle.

The boy was wearing a helmet, but suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Dixie Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, though alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to police.

More information will be released as it is received.
