ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Christen Cunningham scored 17 points, Wyatt Walker had 15 to go with 12 rebounds, and No. 7 seed Samford hung on Saturday for a 67-63 win over second-seeded Furman in the Southern Conference Tournament.

Samford (19-14) led by as much as 12 in the second half before Furman used an 8-0 run capped with back-to-back 3-pointers from Daniel Fowler and Devin Sibley to cut the deficit to 63-60 with 36 seconds left.

The Bulldogs stretched the advantage to 66-60 with 14 seconds left after going 3 for 4 from the line and Sibley quickly cut it back to three again with another trey. Cunningham sealed it with four seconds remaining by getting the first of two free throws.

Alex Thompson had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Samford, which will play either No. 3 seed Eastern Tennessee State or sixth-seeded Mercer in Sunday's semifinals.

Sibley finished with 30 points to lead Furman (21-11), Andrew Brown had 11 before fouling out, and Kris Acox had 13 rebounds.
