Richmond handles Fordham behind Buckingham in 70-48 win

NEW YORK (AP) — De'Monte Buckingham scored 19 points with five 3-pointers and Khwan Fore distributed 12 assists and grabbed seven rebounds and Richmond pummeled Fordham 70-48 in Atlantic 10 play on Saturday.

Richmond (17-11, 11-5) remained tied for third in conference play with Rhode Island with one week left of the regular season.

Marshall Wood's 3-pointer with 10:30 left before halftime put Richmond up 18-13, and the Spiders outscored Fordham 22-7 to end the half. The Rams' smallest deficit was 13 points in the second half.

T.J. Cline scored 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting and ShawnDre' Jones chipped in 11 points for Richmond (17-11, 11-5). The Spiders were 27 for 54 from the field including 9 for 25 from 3-point range. The Spiders distributed 21 assists to just seven for Fordham.

Antwoine Anderson led Fordham (13-16, 7-9) with 16 points.
