ST. GEORGE — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 87-year-old man last seen Tuesday morning.
Leroy Fitzell was last seen at the USA Gas Station located at 2610 Pioneer Road at 11:17 a.m., according to St. George police officer Lona Trombley.
Fitzell was driving a 1999 silver Mazda Protege. Trombley said police are concerned Fitzell may have been involved in a crash or became stranded while driving because he is known to take long drives to surrounding areas such as Pine Valley, Kanab, Enterprise, Cedar City, Beaver Dam and Utah Hill, but typically returns before dark.
Trombley added that Fitzell had heart surgery in the past, but was in good health when he was last seen.
