(KSL News) The global financial crisis could take a toll on Utahns in the form of lost jobs.
The Utah Department of Workforce Services Chief Economist tells the Deseret New Utah will probably lose about 3,000 jobs over the next couple of years. Those losses will come from the financial, insurance, real estate, rental and leasing industries.
That's on top of job cuts already seen in the financial sector. The Department of Workforce Services reports the sector was down 1,100 jobs in August compared to the same time last year.
