HOUSTON — Quarterback Tom Brady won his fifth Super Bowl title with a 34-28 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons at NRG Stadium on Sunday night.

But he got a little bit of help from a pair of former local college football standouts.

Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy sacked Matt Ryan at the end of the third quarter, when his Patriots trailed 28-9.

Who? Yeah, that guy.

Former Utah defensive back Eric Rowe had a pass breakup on the Patriots’ first defensive stand of the second half, trailing 21-3. The Super Bowl in Houston was a full-circle move for the former high schooler from Spring, Texas.

Rowe was also defending Falcons star receiver Julio Jones when he made an unreal catch in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with four tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass break-up.

Former Utah State tight end D.J. Tialavea was also on roster for the Falcons, but he was placed on the inactive roster.
