SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Salt Lake City man was killed after being pinned between the cab and trailer of a jackknifed semi.

It happened yesterday near 1900 West and 1900 South.

Fire officials say the 22-year-old man somehow got wedged after getting out of the cab. There were apparently no witnesses. But fire officials say other employees who found him were able to get him out.

An autopsy will determine the cause of the death. However, authorities say it appears the man died from asphyxiation and internal injuries.

The man had worked for a freight company called Estes Express Lines.
