(KSL News) A man accused of abusing his girlfriend's child, possibly leaving her blind, pleaded guilty to some of the charges against him.
Derrick Lee Crispin faced eight counts of child abuse and yesterday pleaded guilty to one of them as part of a deal with prosecutors. He also pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing justice.
Crispin and his girlfriend, Amy Roberts, were arrested in January after bringing her 2-year-old daughter to the emergency room with chemical burns to her face and eyes. She also was suffering from broken bones and numerous cuts.
