(KSL News) Geologists say Draper's new SunCrest development could be at risk for landslides.
The Utah Geological Survey has not detailed landslide areas in the development, but the lead manager told residents ancient landslide spots could move.
Earlier this year, Draper hired outside consultants to review a geological study conducted by SunCrest.
The consultants said the community is built on ancient landslide areas and suggested Draper implement an emergency response fund, post warning signs and obtain insurance for all residents.
SunCrest called the study "very preliminary" and says it conducted its own geological surveys and its primary concern is safety.
