NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Dallas Cameron scored 15 points, Ivan Canete added 14, and Stephen F. Austin beat Division III-member Centenary 90-59 on Saturday to end a two-game skid.
Cameron shot 4 of 6 from the floor, 3 of 5 from long distance and made all four of his free throws for the Lumberjacks (3-3), who outrebounded the Gentlemen 30-19 and made 10 of 28 3-pointers (35.7 percent).
Leon Gilmore III's layup capped the Lumberjacks' opening 12-3 run and put Stephen F. Austin up for good.
TJ Holyfield scored nine points in the first half and the Lumberjacks led 38-17 at halftime after holding the Gentlemen to 23.1 percent shooting from the floor (6 of 26).
Holyfield's layup and free throw sparked an early 11-5 run and the Lumberjacks continued to pull away in the second half.
Holyfield finished with 14 points, two blocks and two steals. Kevon Harris scored 13 with three 3-pointers.
James Sapp led Centenary (2-5) with 17 points.
