HURRICANE, Washington County — A Hurricane woman who was injured in a car crash on Thursday night has died from her injuries.

Adela Castillo, 55, died Friday, according to Hurricane Police Sgt. Brandon Buell. He said the crash at 3400 W. State in Hurricane near Wal-Mart remains under investigation.

"Our deepest condolences to her family," Buell said.

The crash occurred about 6:20 p.m. Thursday between two pickup trucks. A Chevy pickup truck was making a left turn at an intersection with it collided with a westbound GMC truck, the Spectrum reported.

Castillo was a passenger in the Chevy truck. Its driver was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in serious condition, according to the newspaper. The occupants of the other truck were not injured.
