SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Brendon Todd won the Utah Championship for his first Nationwide Tour title, closing with a 4-under 67 for a six-stroke victory over six players.
The former Georgia star had a tournament-record 22-under 262 total on the Willow Creek Country Club course and earned $99,000 to jump from 53rd to 15th on the money list with $194,961. The top 25 at the end of the season will earn 2009 PGA Tour cards.
"Anytime you're in the last group and you haven't won, it's a new feeling," Todd said. "The biggest thing for me this week was staying patient and staying out of my own way. It gives me a confidence boost for the rest of the year."
Todd opened with rounds of 64, 66 and 65.
Won Joon Lee (64), Jeff Klauk (65), Brian Smock (66), Ryan Hietala (66), Kyle Thompson (71) and Marc Leishman (72) tied for second.
