A sixth-grade coach
Sheila A.
“I am sharing this story with you not to draw attention to my son, but to a great couple of men and even greater group of sixth graders. My son was born with multiple birth defects, some that make it impossible to play football. He wanted to play so bad and to be part of a team, and we thank Curtis Marsh for asking him to help ‘coach!’
"This team is undefeated and played in the championship Oct. 15! It's amazing to watch these kids include my son by putting him in the middle of the huddle and letting him do the coin toss!!”
A haunted house for good
Jen B.
“A very beloved member of our community was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. A family in the neighborhood always spends the entire month of October transforming their garage and yard into a haunted house, and all the proceeds from this go to either the drill team or the soccer team, depending on what their kids are involved in. Oct. 24, all the proceeds benefitted the Jack Mason family.”
