YOUR LUNCHBOX— The most seemingly simple lunch food item has its own day: National Sandwich Day, which is being celebrated Thursday.

While it seems like a simple meal — two pieces of bread and whatever you want in the middle — it’s an art form here in Utah. Here are some of Utah's sandwich gems to help get you started on your celebration.

The Pastry Pub, 86 W. Center St., Cedar City

This pub-like restaurant is famous for its loaded pastrami sandwiches, but is proud to serve vegetarian and gluten-free items as well. All sandwiches come with sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, sprouts and Munster cheese. A variety of meats, bread and additional veggies are options as well.
