(KSL News) -- Acknowledging the shock and frustration that has filled their lives in the past few weeks, the family of Shelby Andrews said goodbye today, hoping for the healing to start.
The funeral services took place in a neighborhood in Kearns where Andrews spent some of the first years of her life.
Children from Andrew's LDS ward in Syracuse sang while family members remembered her love for adventure.
Police officers from Syracuse also attended. They found Shelby dead in her Syracuse home on Aug. 1. Her father and stepmother have been charged with first-degree felony murder and first-degree aggravated sexual abuse in her death.
