OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A South Ogden family is blaming a Wendy's restaurant for a nasty case of E. coli.
Corey Cohrom says she became ill after eating lettuce at a conference catered by a Wendy's in North Ogden in late June.
She says the illness spread to her husband and two children. One of them was in the hospital with kidney problems.
The family is suing Wendy's for negligence. Dozens of people who attended the conference reported flu-like symptoms, but not all sought medical help.
Wendy's later passed an inspection by the health department. The company has apologized for what it calls an "isolated incident."
