RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Brian Brown caught seven passes for 120 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown, to help Richmond to a 23-0 win over Villanova on Saturday.

Griffin Trau kicked three field goals and Deontez Thompson carried in the final score of the game, a 6-yard touchdown run, with 10 seconds left as Richmond (6-1, 3-1 Colonial) notched its fourth straight win. Kyle Lauletta finished 17 of 26 for 218 yards passing, including the touchdown throw to Brown.

Villanova (5-2, 3-1) was held to just 129 yard passing and struggled to get the ball into scoring range. The Wildcats twice gave up the ball on downs in the fourth quarter. It marked their first shutout loss since 2004.

Zach Bednarczyk and Adeyemi DaSilva combined to complete 12 of 29 passes for Villanova. Bednarczyk had two interceptions. Neither quarterback topped 67 yards passing.
