SOUTH SALT LAKE — A woman was arrested after police say she intentionally set a house on fire Wednesday.
Diamond Sullivan, 36, of South Salt Lake, was arrested for investigation of aggravated arson. The fire near 3600 South and 300 East caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
Sullivan was found "riding away from the residence," and after being questioned, told investigators she "set the fire while four other people were still inside," according to a Salt Lake County Jail report.
Sullivan was believed to be staying at the house. A motive for the fire was not released Thursday.
South Salt Lake Deputy Fire Chief Terry Addison said the fire was believed to have started in one of the rooms using "some type of accelerant."
