SMITHFIELD — On Friday, Oct. 7, a Sky View High School student was airlifted by a medical helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital after a fight with a fellow student after school.
A family member drove the victim to Logan Regional Hospital after the fight had occurred. After hospital personnel made a determination of his condition, he was airlifted to Salt Lake City for further care, police said.
Chief Deputy Matt Bilodeau of the Cache County Sheriff’s Office said an arrest was made in connection with the fight. The minor was booked on suspicion of aggravated assault.
It is unclear at this time why the fight started. Further information will be posted as it becomes available.
