THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Metropolitan Restaurant recently hired a new chef just in time for the holidays. Perry Hendrix, a classically trained chef and advocate of fresh, locally grown products, is the Metropolitan’s new Executive Chef. He will continue the restaurant’s emphasis on “new American cooking.” The Chamber encourages people to enjoy their holiday season a little more this year by trying some of the great restaurants Salt Lake offers.

Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah recently launched its new redesigned Website at www.regence.com. The site was created to give more information on their products and moves toward placing more self-service features online.

R&O Construction, based in Ogden, has begun construction on a new Sam’s Club in Pueblo, Colorado.

Utah’s Guardsmen and Reservists need the moral support of business. You can show your support at the Salt Lake Military Salute on Saturday, February 7th at the Grand America. The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant General Hal Moore, who was played by Mel Gibson in the blockbuster movie “We Were Soldiers.” To register, call the Chamber at 328-5050, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
