TOOELE— Jose Medina, 56, of Salt Lake City died Monday evening following a rollover just west of Tooele, Utah Highway Patrol confirmed.
Medina was traveling on I-80 eastbound when he started to drift to the left and then overcorrected to the right, causing the vehicle to slide sideways, UHP said. The vehicle then began to roll and traveled across both lanes and went off the right shoulder.
The vehicle stopped rolling on the driver side, facing west.
Medina was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel, police said. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
