CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Top Wyoming elected officials are set to vote this week on whether the state should lend $33.5 million to fund expansion of three major economic development projects. The projects before the State Loan and Investment Board on Thursday are a fuel additive plant in Cheyenne, an activated carbon plant in Gillette and expansion of a pharmaceutical plant in Cody.

DUBOIS, Wyo. (AP) — A grizzly bear attack has seriously injured an elk hunter west of Dubois. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says the attack happened Sunday morning as the hunter went to get an elk he'd shot the day before in Shoshone National Forest.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has favorably reviewed a proposal to ship coal from Montana and Wyoming out of a Washington port. The Billings Gazette reports that the Corps on Friday released a draft environmental impact statement for the Millennium Bulk Terminal port in Longview, Washington.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A panel has chosen three nominees to become the next state district court judge in Albany County. Gov. Matt Mead will choose one of the three to succeed Judge Jeffrey Donnell.
