(KSL News) An air tanker loaded with fire retardant crashed in Nevada yesterday, killing all three crew members.
We're getting reports that the pilot was from Utah; however, that has not been confirmed.
The twin-engine P2V went down just after takeoff near Reno as it was making its last run of the day to drop retardant on a wildfire in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Investigators are looking into what caused the crash, but witnesses report the plane lost part of an engine or wing right before it went down.
