(KSL News) A man led police on a high-speed chase through Midvale early this morning.
Officers tried to pull over what they believed to be a stolen vehicle. They say the driver, Jorge Altar-Pontises, let a passenger out of the car and took off.
Speeds during the chase reached 90 miles per hour. At one point, police say Altar-Pontises attempted to ram a police car.
Eventually, he exited the freeway at 13th South and ran into a dead-end. Officers then arrested him.
The passenger told police the driver was looking for someone to sell him a gun.
