ROTHBURY, Mich. (AP) — The annual Electric Forest Festival in western Michigan is expanding next year with events over the course of two weekends instead of one.
Organizers say the 2017 music and camping event is planned for the Double JJ ranch in the Rothbury area on June 22-25 and June 29-July 2.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/2bId0nS ) organizers wanted to give more people an opportunity to attend. But expanding capacity and the festival grounds could have altered the intimate culture of the event, so two separate weekends were chosen.
Festival-goers can attend both weekends, but they will have to leave the site between them. Some performers will be at both festival weekends.
