KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — Two freshmen on Western Michigan's football team have been arrested and suspended from the team.

Coach P.J. Fleck and team officials said in a statement Saturday that linebacker Ron George and wide receiver Bryson White were suspended after being arrested early Saturday morning off the Kalamazoo campus. Officials made no comment about why the players were arrested.

The Associated Press left messages seeking additional information from the Kalamazoo Public Safety department.

Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting said his office expects to receive investigative reports related to the case Sunday morning, after which they will be reviewed and a charging decision made.

Fleck and team officials say in the statement "that this conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university."
