LEXINGTON, Miss. (AP) — A man has been arrested in the slayings of two Mississippi nuns. Rodney Earl Sanders faces two charges of capital murder. He's being held in an undisclosed location pending a court appearance.

CHICAGO (AP) — NBA star Dwyane Wade's cousin was shot and killed in Chicago. Police say Nykea Aldridge was pushing her baby in a stroller. Wade took to Twitter to denounce what he called another "act of senseless gun violence."

ASCOLI PICENO, Italy (AP) — The death toll continues to climb in central Italy, the scene of a devastating earthquake. Three more bodies were recovered overnight in Amatrice (ah-mah-TREE'-cheh), bringing the total to 284. Today is a national day of mourning in Italy.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council has strongly condemned four North Korean ballistic missile launches in July and August. A statement approved by all 15 members calls the launches "grave violations" of a ban on all ballistic missile activity.

NEW DELHI (AP) — Police in Bangladesh report killing three suspected militants. One is said to have been an alleged mastermind of a major attack on a cafe last month that left 20 people dead.
