ATLANTA (AP) — Braves right-hander Julio Teheran has been activated from the disabled list to start in Friday night's game against the Washington Nationals.
The Braves placed left-hander Eric O'Flaherty on the 15-day disabled list due to left elbow neuritis.
Teheran will be making his first start of the month. He has been sidelined since July 31 with a strained lat.
Teheran (3-9) is tied with Washington's Tanner Roark for ninth in the NL with his 2.81 ERA. Roark will start for the Nationals on Friday night.
