WEST WENDOVER, Nev. — Excessive speed and alcohol were believed to be factors in a fatal crash involving a Utah man Thursday night, according to West Wendover police.
Juan Carlos Gallo, 21, of Wendover, was killed in the crash in the 300 block of Airport Way in West Wendover, Nevada, about 10:30 p.m.
Gallo, the lone occupant of a 1993 Lincoln Town Car, drifted to the side of the road and then overcorrected, causing the car to go off the other side of the road, through a fence, and vault into the air, coming to rest on its hood, according to West Wendover police.
Gallo was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
