MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Memphis has added 6-foot-11 center Chad Rykhoek, a Baylor graduate transfer who never played at his original school because of injuries.

Tigers coach Tubby Smith announced the addition of Rykhoek (RYE'-cook) in a news release Thursday.

Rykhoek was rated as a top-150 recruit by Rivals when he enrolled at Baylor in 2012, but a series of injuries prevented him from playing for the Bears. Memphis officials say Rykhoek has indicated he's healthy now and expects to be ready for the start of the season.

Rykhoek joins guards Christian Kessee and Keon Clergeot and guard/forward Jimario Rivers as newcomers on Memphis' 2016-17 roster. Clergeot is a freshman, Kessee is a graduate transfer from Coppin State and Rivers is a transfer from Southwest Tennessee Community College.
