MIAMI (AP) — Miami Marlins right-hander Colin Rea has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow sprain after his debut with the team was curtailed by the injury.

The move was made Sunday, when Miami recalled right-hander Nefi Ogando from Triple-A New Orleans.

Rea pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings and allowed one hit against the St. Louis Cardinals before he left Saturday's game. He said he first felt pain warming up before the game.

Rea was acquired Friday in a seven-player trade with the San Diego Padres that also sent right-hander Andrew Cashner to Miami.
